The Faculty of Science is a world-class, engaged and transdisciplinary African Faculty of Science that responds to socio-economic and environmental challenges in society. At our core, we focus on offering a diverse range of life-changing pure and applied science-based learning, teaching, research, training, innovation, engagement and transformational experiences that empower students and staff to drive sustainable change. Our faculty offers a diverse range of life-changing programmes that include diplomas and degrees at both undergraduate and postgraduate level across 15 dynamic departments . As a leader in scientific research, we host multiple South African Research Chairs (SARChI) and deliver high-impact projects that advance knowledge and benefit society.
