Mopani TVET College is one of South Africa's 50 public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges, operating under the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). Established in 2003 through the merger of Phalaborwa Technical, Sir Val Duncan Technical and Mapulaneng Technical Colleges, the institution now serves the Mopani District in Limpopo Province through two campuses—Sir Val Duncan Campus in Namakgale and Phalaborwa Campus—as well as the Mošate Hotel School in Phalaborwa.
The College offers National Certificate (Vocational) [NC(V)] programmes, Report 191 (NATED) programmes, occupational qualifications, learnerships and skills programmes designed to meet the country's economic and labour market needs. Its academic offerings focus on engineering, business, tourism, hospitality and information technology, while strong partnerships with industry and Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) provide students with practical training and workplace experience.
