Established in 2000 through the amalgamation of four technical colleges, South Cape TVET College was the pilot site for South Africa's TVET college merger process, which was implemented nationally from 2002. The College adopted its current name in 2012 following the transition from FET to TVET colleges and migrated to the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) between 2014 and 2016.
Today, the College remains committed to providing quality technical and vocational education and training, developing skilled graduates and contributing to the socio-economic growth and sustainable development of the communities it serves.
