Umfolozi TVET College is one of South Africa's leading public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, operating under the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). Located in the northern region of KwaZulu-Natal, the College is committed to providing accessible, high-quality vocational and occupational education that equips students with the practical skills, knowledge, and competencies required by industry and the labour market.
The College serves diverse urban and rural communities through its eight campuses: Chief Albert Luthuli, Eshowe, Esikhawini, Mandeni, Richtek, Sundumbili/Isithebe, Bambanana, and Nkandla. In addition, several skills centres extend training opportunities to surrounding communities, supporting local economic development and lifelong learning.
Umfolozi TVET College offers a broad range of National Certificate (Vocational) [NC(V)] programmes, NATED (Report 191) Engineering and Business Studies, occupational programmes, artisan development, skills training, trade testing, and selected distance learning opportunities. Through strong partnerships with industry, Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs), government departments, and community stakeholders, the College promotes work-integrated learning, entrepreneurship, innovation, and graduate employability.
